You must have an inspection done by a Progress Energy representative. There are a few ways to have the inspection take place. You may call and set up an appointment for a representative to come to your house and go through your house with you. At this point they will also make other energy saving suggestions that would benefit you and your home. You can do the inspection over the internet at www.progress-energy.com/ . Your third and final option is to call and have a representative walk you through the inspection over the phone. The phone number for progress energy is 1-877-996-2673, I spoke with Brad Voigt with Progress Energy who you can reach at 727-820-4702. He is able to walk you through this inspection as well.
Second
Is progress energy’s recommendations. They will tell you what they believe will benefit your house and help you make the correct choices to become more energy efficient.
Third
Is to have the work scheduled and performed. Most of the time we are able to schedule jobs to be completed within five to eight business days of the initial phone call to set up your appointment, sometimes sooner.
Talking to Brad he recommended having the phone walk through. He said it should take about 20 minutes, and can be done the same day. You must complete the inspection before you have the window tint installed or you will not be eligible for the rebate.
